"Sounding Off for School Spirit: Gym Audio & Acoustics Transformation"

Each year, our community comes together to raise their paddles for a worthy Fund-A-Need project that benefits the entire student body. Last year, your generous contributions helped us meet our STEAM curriculum needs, funding nearly 300 essential items and materials for our students and school. Other past projects include the Morse Grants program and the Outdoor Stage project, which was partially funded in 2023 and has been included in our upcoming Campus Master Plan.

This year, we are focused on enhancing the audio system and improving the acoustics in our gym. The gym is much more than just a space for physical education and sports—it’s the heart of our school community. It’s where we come together for all-school gatherings, performances, and important community events such as the Book Fair, Holiday House, and Thanksgiving Program. However, there’s one challenge we’re determined to fix: the sound.

With expert recommendations, we plan to install ceiling baffles that will absorb sound and reduce echo, creating a clearer, more comfortable environment for students, teachers, and the entire ACS community. After the acoustic treatments are in place, a state-of-the-art audio system will be professionally installed to ensure top-quality sound for all events in the gym.

These upgrades will make a lasting difference in our school performances, assemblies, and everyday activities, providing clearer sound and reducing disruptions. Your donation will have a direct impact on the quality of these experiences for all our children—from PreK to 8th group—as well as you, the ACS community at large!

Our goal is to raise $75,000 for these essential improvements, and every gift, big or small, brings us closer to creating a space that supports our students’ growth and fosters school spirit.
